NylexThe Nylex Clock in Melbourne has been there since I can remember. For me (and pretty much the whole of Melbourne) this clock has been an icon, a landmark and the weatherman all in one. Even though Nylex as a company hasn’t had a good run of  late, the clock itself is heritage listed, which means it belongs to the government and that it should be there for our kids and their kids to enjoy.

But this clock hasn’t been working for the last couple of weeks. Every now and then there are glitches with the neon displays and it doesn’t display the time or temperature properly, but this time round the entire thing looks to be switched off. Searching the forums and discussion boards, the verdict is that its going through a few technical difficulties and that it should be up soon. Shit better get fixed soon or else I’m gonna have withdrawals.

This is what it should look like – even during the day…281333370_ca593b5b99
