R.I.P. WHITNEY HOUSTON

13 02 2012

I guess I should pay my respects. So sad to see another artist pass. She was one of the key singers that influenced my early days of music. There  so many songs that I grew up with and that I know word for word. To me she was a true diva.

But over the last few years we have all heard of all the horror stories she has had and was probably still having till the day she died. I can’t help thinking sometimes maybe it was just a matter of time.

Whatever it is, I thank you for the music and the emotions…

RIP GARY COLEMAN

31 05 2010

I know this is a little late, but my life has been in full gear for the last few weeks and I haven’t had a chance to sit in front of the comp for more than a few minutes at a time.

Gary Coleman was one of the first TV stars I had fond memories of growing up. Arnold Jackson’s “…whatcha talkin bout Willis..?” line from the TV series ‘DIfferent Strokes’ will live forever in my mind. Admittedly I never followed his career later on, but its still sad to see he has passed.

RIP dude.

R.I.P. PATRICK SWAYZE

You have all probably heard the news by now that Patrick Swayze has lost his battle with pancreatic cancer yesterday after a good year of battling it with everything he had. Like most people, I remember him the most from ‘Dirty Dancing’, ‘Ghost’ and ‘Point Break’. He didn’t always pick the best movies, but when he did he proved to the world that he was a force to contend with. I mean he even released a song that became a worldwide hit. And Im not ashamed to say that I know the words to it. There was a point in my teenage life that he was a credible idol.

This year has been a tough one with the world loosing MJ, Farrah Fawcett, David Carradine and now Patrick Swayze. Let’s hope that this is the last of the bad news for the rest of the year.

Rest in peace dirty dancer.
